Product Description:
The XMS2-W0070ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S04RSN3NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter module from the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Classified within the ctrlX DRIVE product group, this second-generation unit forms the power stage of a motion axis, converting energy from a shared DC intermediate circuit into regulated motor voltage for precise speed and torque control. Its Multi-Ethernet interface uses EtherCAT over CoE as the real-time fieldbus, allowing PLCs to integrate the axis into distributed automation cells without proprietary gateways. The control section follows the standard ctrlX DRIVE architecture for communication, motor regulation, and system diagnostics.
During continuous operation at a 4 kHz current-controller frequency, the drive supplies up to 35 A, while short load peaks can reach 70 A before current foldback occurs. The shared rail operates at a nominal 750 V, and the power section disconnects at 900 V for overvoltage protection. A DC-bus path rated for 120 A supports parallel axes, while inrush current is limited to 4 A to reduce the load on upstream protection devices. Internal electrical stability is supported by a 1.7 mF control input capacitor and two 100 nF ground capacitors. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, protecting against contact with hazardous internal components and the entry of larger solid objects. Safe Torque Off is included as the hardware safety function. The insulation resistance is 1 MΩ, the control panel is omitted, and the motor connector set is supplied separately.
The aluminum housing is 309 mm high, 75 mm wide, and 196.5 mm deep, and it weighs 4.25 kg. These dimensions support installation in densely arranged control cabinets while leaving enough room for wiring and ventilation. The control electronics require 120 W, which allows the auxiliary power supply and emergency power hold-up system to be sized for the module’s control load. An internal fan removes heat from the power electronics without requiring external ducting.
