Product Description:
The XMS2-W0090ANN-01AETT0NNNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a power inverter module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. As part of the ctrlX DRIVE architecture, it works with a dedicated control section to convert DC bus energy into three-phase motor power for positioning and speed control tasks in automated machinery. The product is intended for compact cabinet installations where scalable drive axes are required for handling, packaging, or processing lines.
This drive is a single-axis unit that can supply a continuous output current of 45 A at the standard 4 kHz switching frequency. Power is drawn from a shared link operating at DC 750 V, which is the nominal bus voltage for the platform. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, and the device releases 429 W under rated conditions. Communication relies on Multi-Ethernet hardware, while motion commands and status data are exchanged through the EtherCAT (SoE) protocol. The embedded ctrlX processor and front-mounted control panel support drive control and system interaction.
During acceleration or dynamic braking, the inverter can deliver up to 90 A, while the DC bus connection is rated for 120 A and inrush current is limited to 4 A. The control electronics remain active on a separate 24 V ±20% supply, supporting fieldbus diagnostics even when the power stage is disabled. The housing provides IP20 protection and therefore requires installation inside a protected enclosure. Integrated functional safety is provided through Safe Torque Off, which disables torque-producing motor power when the safety function is activated. The device offers selectable switching frequencies of 4, 8, 12, or 16 kHz to accommodate different motor and application requirements. It has an input capacitance of 1.7 mF and a mass of 4.25 kg.
