Product Description:
The XMS2-W0120ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is an inverter drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX DRIVE series. Built on the second-generation ctrlX DRIVE platform, it controls one motor axis in industrial automation systems. The module converts energy from a shared DC bus into regulated three-phase power for compatible servo or induction motors. Its single-axis design allows the power stage and control electronics to be installed as part of a coordinated, multi-axis drive system.
As a single-axis inverter, the unit provides a continuous output current of 71 A at a 4 kHz switching frequency. It can also deliver a peak current of 120 A during motor acceleration. The shared DC link has a nominal voltage of 750 V, while an internal monitor disconnects the bus if its voltage reaches 900 V. Conductors rated for 120 A connect the power stage to the bus, and 1.7 mF of input capacitance helps filter the incoming DC power. The module dissipates 625 W under steady load, while its control electronics draw 105 W from the auxiliary supply. The frame measures 309 × 125 × 196.5 mm and weighs 6.2 kg. An internal air-cooling system moves 74 m³/h through the heat sink to remove heat from the power components.
Network communication is provided by a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports EtherCAT (SoE) for drive-based motion control. This interface enables cyclic command and status exchange with compatible controllers and other ctrlX DRIVE modules. The IP20 housing provides basic protection against finger contact with internal components at DC potentials up to 750 V. Cabinet fans must supply the required airflow through the module while maintaining suitable clearance around its ventilation openings. The control section performs motor regulation and includes a Safe Torque Off hardware channel. Safe Torque Off removes torque-producing power through the drive logic, reducing the need for external power-disconnection relays in supported safety circuits. The second-generation design has less volume and lower mass than earlier ctrlX DRIVE models while retaining the functionality required for inverter operation.
