The XMS2-W0006ANN-01AETT0NNNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a power section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Intended for industrial automation, the module provides variable-speed motor control through an integrated power electronics stage. It supports precise positioning, synchronized motion, and efficient speed regulation in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling equipment. Its compact format is suitable for cabinet installations that require responsive motion control and high-speed network communication.
This power section is configured for single-axis operation, with internal sensors and IGBTs sized to control one mechanical load. Operating as an inverter, it converts DC-link power into motor current with the variable frequency and amplitude commanded by the controller. Machine networks connect to the device through a Multi-Ethernet interface, providing access to supported industrial Ethernet protocols. Within the communication stack, telegrams are processed through EtherCAT (SoE) to support deterministic cycle times and synchronized motion commands. The embedded ctrlX DRIVE electronics process operating parameters, while the included control panel provides local access to status information and settings. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, which directs cabinet air through the heat sink without requiring external cooling ducts.
The module uses a second-generation design within the platform and is compatible with the associated engineering tools and accessories. Integrated Safe Torque Off functionality allows motor-producing torque to be disabled when the connected safety circuit opens, without relying on mechanical contactors in the drive output. The enclosure provides IP20 protection and operates from a 750 V DC bus, making the unit suitable for installation inside a protected electrical cabinet. IP20 protection prevents access to hazardous internal parts with fingers and blocks solid objects larger than 12.5 mm, while the cabinet must provide the required protection from moisture and smaller contaminants.
