The XMS2-W0006ANN-02NETM5NNNN-S06RSN1NNNP5NN is an inverter module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. As a second-generation module in the ctrlX DRIVE product group, it connects to a ctrlX DRIVE plus control section. Its purpose is to convert power from the shared 750 V DC link of a multi-axis system into a regulated three-phase output for one automation axis. This arrangement supports accurate motor speed and torque control without an integral control panel. The module is intended for installation with compatible power, control, and motor components in an enclosed drive system.
As a single-axis unit, the module dedicates its full current loop to one motor branch. Command data are exchanged through the integrated Multi-Ethernet interface, and deterministic motion profiles can also be transmitted through Sercos III. An internal fan moves 36 m³/h of air across the heat sink, while the internal air-cooling system supports a maximum control-electronics load of 79 W. The DC link can continuously conduct 120 A, and its contactor opens when the voltage reaches 900 V to protect the bus capacitors. A nominal bus voltage of 750 V supplies the inverter stage, while an inrush limiter controls charging demand. The cooling components are contained within the enclosure, reducing the need for a separate external cooling assembly.
The housing is 50 mm wide and weighs 2.8 kg, allowing compact placement within a control cabinet. Functional safety is provided by the integrated SafeMotion package, which supports safe-stop and safely limited-speed functions without additional relays. DC-link energy storage is provided by a capacitance of 1.7 mF, offering brief ride-through capability during supply dips. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, so the module must be installed inside a closed control cabinet. During power-up, the inrush circuit limits current to 4 A. In normal operation, the inverter permits a phase output of 6 A at a 4 kHz carrier frequency.
