Product Description:
The XMS2-W0016ANN-02AETT0ECDA-S06RSN2NNNP0NN is an inverter-based drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It regulates motor speed and torque by converting energy from the shared DC bus into a controlled three-phase output, making it suitable for machine tools, packaging lines, and automated handling axes. The unit belongs to the broader ctrlX DRIVE product group, and its front panel provides direct access to parameters, diagnostic information, and status LEDs. This interface allows operating conditions and fault messages to be viewed directly at the drive.
The drive operates as a single-axis module and incorporates Bosch Rexroth’s Multi-Ethernet communication hardware, allowing the use of EtherCAT (SoE) or other real-time fieldbuses without changing communication boards. Control and power electronics are housed in the ctrlX DRIVE plus section. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so no external blower is required. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, which requires installation inside a closed control cabinet to prevent accidental contact with internal electrical components. The DC bus supports up to 750 V, providing the voltage capacity needed for operation within a shared power architecture. The module operates in inverter mode and supports four-quadrant control, allowing the connected motor to operate in both driving and regenerative states.
Classified as a second-generation product, the module integrates Safe Torque Off, which disables the power stage without opening the motor connections. A multi-encoder interface accepts EnDat, HIPERFACE, or resolver feedback, allowing the drive to receive position and speed data from several common feedback systems. The unit does not include a motor connector set, allowing project-specific motor cabling and connectors to be selected for the installation. A digital/analog I/O extension provides auxiliary signal points for connecting sensors, switches, or actuators to the axis. The compact housing supports closely spaced module installation, while direct DC-link connections allow energy to be shared with neighboring ctrlX devices.
