Product Description:
The XMS2-W0054ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S06RSN1NNNN0NN is an inverter module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It serves as the power and control interface between the plant’s DC-link supply and a connected servo or induction motor, regulating torque and speed commands issued by higher-level motion controllers. Installed in industrial automation cells, the drive converts power from the shared DC bus into a pulse-width-modulated output that propels a single mechanical axis while supporting integrated safety and fieldbus communication.
The unit has a single-axis design, so one motor winding set is energized per power section, simplifying cabinet layouts in machines with distributed axes. Network traffic is handled through Multi-Ethernet hardware that accepts Sercos III and additional Ethernet-based protocols without plug-in cards. Continuous current capability reaches 27 A at 4 kHz, providing sustained RMS phase current at the stated switching frequency. Internal electronics, encoders, and safety relays are supplied from an external 24 V auxiliary rail, keeping low-voltage logic isolated from the high-energy bus. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, which directs cabinet air through the heat sink and eliminates the need for external ducting. Drive-integrated safety is provided by Safe Torque Off, allowing immediate removal of motor torque without mechanical contactors.
Current drawn from the common DC link is limited to 120 A, matching the upstream fusing and busbar ratings. The nominal bus level of 750 V supports compact motor cabling, while the 900 V cutoff threshold protects semiconductors during regenerative events. Power losses are limited to 226 W, so the required forced airflow of 129 m³/h keeps the module temperature within its operating range. The module measures 309 mm high, 75 mm wide, and 196.5 mm deep, allowing dense stacking on DIN-rail backplates. Its mass of 4.25 kg supports straightforward handling during installation.
