Product Description:
The XMS2-W0030ANN-02NETT0NNEM-S06RSN5NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter module from the Bosch Rexroth Indramat XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Designed as part of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it forms the power section of a motion axis and interfaces with higher-level controllers through the Multi-Ethernet backplane; EtherNet/IP is the selected real-time protocol for this unit. By modulating power from the DC link, the device supplies controlled three-phase power to a connected motor, providing a compact drive stage for packaging, handling, or processing equipment.
During continuous operation at a switching frequency of 4 kHz, the inverter delivers 12 A of phase current, while the nominal DC-bus voltage is 750 V. The integrated Safe Torque Off circuit provides hardware safety by removing motor torque when the safety chain is opened. Internal air cooling moves 36 m³/h through the heat sink, and the power electronics dissipate 118 W as heat under rated load. The control electronics draw 79 W from an auxiliary supply, and the plus-generation control section supports encoder emulation for legacy feedback systems. A DC-bus connector rated at 120 A links the module to adjacent drive sections, while bus cutoff occurs at 900 V to protect connected hardware. The unit does not have a control panel, so configuration and monitoring are handled through the ctrlX WORKS software interface.
For short dynamic events, the inverter can supply up to 30 A, providing additional acceleration torque before thermal limits intervene. The aluminum housing weighs 2.8 kg and has an IP20 drive protection rating, making the unit suitable for installation in a filtered control cabinet. The power terminals accept a DC feed of up to 900 V, supporting connection to common shared-bus systems. Its single-axis layout allows the module to operate as an individual motor control stage within a coordinated drive assembly. The compact housing helps conserve cabinet space while maintaining the airflow needed to remove heat from the power electronics.
