Product Description:
The XMS2-W0023ANN-02NETT0NNEM-S06RSN5NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. As a compact power section, it converts the shared DC bus voltage into a controlled three-phase output that positions one motor axis in an automated machine. Multi-Ethernet circuitry and an EtherNet/IP stack allow the unit to exchange commands and feedback with PLCs. This communication supports motion tasks that require precise speed and torque regulation in industrial automation cells.
The power stage delivers a continuous output current of 7.7 A at a 4 kHz switching frequency and can supply up to 23 A momentarily to cover acceleration peaks. A shared DC bus with a nominal rating of 750 V links the drive to other modules, and the internal connection path is rated for 120 A so energy can flow between axes without overloading the connection. The control electronics draw no more than 79 W, limiting the heat added to the cabinet. Internally driven cooling air moves through the heat sink, and an integrated blower produces the required airflow of 36 m³/h. This cooling arrangement is suitable for applications where external ducting is not practical. Multi-Ethernet ports support real-time fieldbus communication and standard TCP/IP traffic, while Safe Torque Off circuitry removes gate signals when a stop is requested.
Overvoltage protection disconnects the DC link at 900 V, protecting the semiconductors during power surges or regenerative braking events. The IP20 housing protects against accidental contact with internal components and is intended for installation inside a switchgear cabinet. Logic circuits, encoder emulation, and auxiliary relays receive power from a separate 24 V control input, keeping the low-power circuits active during an emergency stop. The drive does not include a front control panel or a motor connector set. Fieldbus configuration and preterminated cables provide the required control and wiring connections, and the unit uses runtime version 06.
