Product Description:
The XMS2-W0006ANN-01AETT0NNNN-S06RSN2NNNN0NN is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It converts DC-link power from a modular drive rack into a regulated three-phase output for operating one electric motor. Closed-loop control allows the drive to regulate motor speed or torque in conveyors, handling axes, processing stations, and other industrial automation equipment. Its modular format allows the controller to operate alongside compatible power and control modules within a coordinated drive system.
The power stage is configured for single-axis operation, so the module controls one motor. A Multi-Ethernet interface provides network connectivity, while EtherCAT (SoE) telegrams support real-time communication between the drive and the motion controller. Thermal management uses internal air cooling, with an integrated fan drawing cabinet air across the heat sink without requiring external ducting. The housing provides IP20 protection, which guards against accidental finger contact with hazardous internal parts when the unit is installed correctly. The power section is compatible with a 750 V DC bus shared by surrounding ctrlX power modules. Appropriate cabinet airflow and installation clearances are required so heated air can leave the drive area without recirculating through the heat sink.
Functional safety is provided through Safe Torque Off, which removes torque-producing energy from the motor without relying on mechanical braking components. An integrated control panel supports local operation and parameter entry directly at the unit. The second-generation design follows the newer ctrlX module layout while retaining compatibility with supported first-generation accessories. The drive operates as an inverter and does not contain a regenerative power section, so regenerated energy must be managed elsewhere in the drive system. It is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the required connector and cabling arrangement to be selected for the connected motor and machine layout. Control processing is handled by the ctrlX DRIVE control section, which manages communication, feedback evaluation, current regulation, and motion commands during operation.
