Product Description:
The XMS2-W0090ANN-01AETT0ECNN-S06RSN5NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Intended for the ctrlX DRIVE control section, the module converts energy from a shared DC link into regulated three-phase power for servo or induction motors used in automated machinery. Multi-Ethernet hardware with EtherNet/IP support enables deterministic communication with PLCs and motion controllers, while an integrated control panel allows local parameter entry and status viewing. As a second-generation design, it integrates control, power electronics, and diagnostic functions inside its housing to simplify cabinet layouts.
The power stage draws from a common bus rated at DC 750 V and can deliver a continuous output current of 45 A at a switching frequency of 4 kHz. When acceleration or peak demand is required, the same stage supplies up to 90 A without derating. A bus connection current capacity of 120 A permits parallel operation with other drives on the link. An internal capacitor bank with a capacitance of 1.7 mF stabilizes the DC voltage against load-induced ripple. The ctrlX DRIVE control electronics coordinate these power functions by supervising current loops, vector modulation, and regenerative braking.
The DC link is disconnected if its voltage exceeds 900 V, preventing semiconductor overstress. Internal air cooling moves 129 m³/h through the heat sink to maintain suitable junction temperatures during high-frequency switching. The enclosure has an IP20 rating for installation inside a control panel. A hardware safety channel provides Safe Torque Off functionality, removing gate signals from the output devices without cutting control power. Additional interfaces include a multi-encoder port for position feedback and a 24 V ±20% control-voltage input with inrush current limited to 4 A. A forced-cooling flow sensor confirms that the drive receives adequate airflow during operation.
