Product Description:
The XMS2-W0090ANN-01AETT0ECNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE control section and supplies programmable, high-bandwidth motor power through a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports EtherCAT over SERCOS (SoE). Within an automation cell, the unit converts power from the shared DC bus into a phase-modulated output for precise velocity and torque regulation of synchronous or induction machines.
The power section operates from a bus voltage of DC 750 V and uses a logic supply of 24 V ±20% to energize its internal electronics and the Safe Torque Off circuit. At a PWM frequency of 4 kHz, it delivers a continuous motor current of 45 A, while internal power dissipation reaches 429 W under nominal load. The cabinet cooling system must remove this generated heat. The protective construction is rated IP20, so the drive requires installation inside a closed electrical enclosure. Multi-encoder feedback hardware allows resolver, incremental, or absolute encoders to be connected without additional adapters. The front control panel provides local access to parameters, operating information, and diagnostic messages.
A peak output current of 90 A gives the axis reserve capacity for rapid acceleration, sudden positioning loads, or regeneration back into the DC bus. The housing is only 75 mm wide, which permits side-by-side installation with other ctrlX modules on a common heat sink rail. An internal air path channels cooling air from the switch cabinet plenum across the heat sink fins, so a separate fan on the module is not required. The unit has a mass of 4.25 kg, which limits the load placed on the cabinet mounting structure. As a second-generation device, it provides higher current density, multi-protocol communication, and Safe Torque Off support without requiring additional panel space.
