The XMS2-W0036ANN-02AETM5NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN5NN is a single-axis inverter module from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. This second-generation module converts power from the regulated DC link of a multi-axis system into a controlled three-phase output for servo or induction motors, enabling precise speed and torque control in packaging, handling, and processing equipment. The unit includes the ctrlX DRIVE plus control section and an integrated control panel, allowing parameters, diagnostics, and maintenance functions to be accessed directly at the cabinet. Its single-axis design allows an individual motor to be controlled as part of a coordinated drive system.
During continuous operation at a switching frequency of 4 kHz, the power section delivers 18 A of RMS output current, providing stable torque for continuously loaded axes. For short acceleration periods, the drive can supply up to 36 A of output current. The internal DC link is rated at 750 V, making it compatible with common regenerative supplies used in ctrlX drive systems. Power loss from the insulated-gate bipolar transistors is rated at 169 W, and an internal blower moves 36 m³/h of air through the chassis to remove heat. The module has an IP20 protection rating, which guards against contact with hazardous internal components but does not provide protection against water. Installation inside a suitable switchgear cabinet provides the surrounding protection required for industrial operation.
The module has a mass of 2.8 kg and a frame width of 50 mm, while its 196.5 mm depth and 309 mm height support compact installation with adjacent axes. Bus capacitance of 1.7 mF reduces DC-link ripple, and a maximum inrush current of 4 A supports controlled power-up sequencing. The SafeMotion safety package provides Safe Torque Off, Safe Stop 1, and related functions in accordance with IEC 61800-5-2. Multi-Ethernet hardware with EtherCAT Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT enables real-time communication with compatible controllers. The device operates as an inverter and is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the required connector arrangement to be selected for the application.
