It regulates one rotary or linear axis in automated machinery and provides closed-loop speed and torque control through the ctrlX DRIVE platform. A factory-mounted control panel allows local status monitoring without requiring a separate display. The ctrlX DRIVE plus control section exchanges operating data and motion commands with upstream controllers through its Multi-Ethernet interface.
The drive is designed for single-axis operation and communicates through the EtherCAT (SoE) protocol, allowing cycle-synchronous updates alongside other real-time network traffic. Internal logic and input/output circuits operate from 24 V ±20%, so the unit can use a standard machine control supply without an auxiliary converter.
