Product Description:
The XMS2-W0030ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S03RSN1NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter drive from the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It belongs to the second generation of ctrlX hardware and supports Multi-Ethernet interfaces, allowing real-time communication over dedicated SERCOS III motion networks. Within an automation cell, the unit converts DC bus energy into controlled three-phase output power for a servo motor. It does not have a built-in control panel because parameterization is handled through the ctrlX engineering environment.
The power stage delivers a continuous output current of 12 A at a carrier frequency of 4 kHz and can supply up to 30 A for short acceleration periods. Energy is drawn from a DC link operating at 750 V. An internal input capacitance of 1.7 mF and a connection capacity of 120 A help stabilize the link during load changes. Thermal losses reach 118 W, and the internal fan produces an airflow of 36 m³/h to move heat through the housing. Current derating applies when the output frequency falls below 3 Hz. A 4 A inrush current, limited to 20 ms, helps protect upstream circuit breakers during power-up. Under nominal conditions, the device draws 79 W to operate its logic circuits, gate drives, and cooling system.
The housing is 50 mm wide, 196.5 mm deep, and 309 mm high, allowing its cabinet space requirements to be determined before installation. It weighs 2.8 kg, which limits the mechanical load placed on the mounting surface. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP20, and the DC circuit is isolated for operation at 750 V. The safety system includes Safe Torque Off channels that interrupt power semiconductor gating without affecting fieldbus communication. Cooling air circulates within the frame, so external air ducts are not required. The motor connector set and auxiliary power-section modules are not included. Communication terminals are positioned along the top edge, leaving side clearance for neighboring drives in multi-axis racks.
