Product Description:
The XMS2-W0150ANN-02NETM5ECNN-S06RSN1NNNP5NN is a single-axis power section manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. As a member of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, the unit forms the core of a modular motion system, supplying variable three-phase output to compatible motors while accepting power from a shared DC link. It is intended for packaging, assembly, and material-handling lines where compact electronics can be installed inside a suitable control cabinet. The cabinet-mounted design provides a compact format for applications that require precise motor control without a separate power section for each system function.
The drive is configured for single-axis operation, so one motor channel uses its entire current capacity for point-to-point motion. Network traffic is handled through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the hardware to communicate over EtherCAT, PROFINET, or EtherNet/IP networks without daughter cards. Command execution takes place in the integrated ctrlX DRIVE plus control section, eliminating the need for a separate controller bay. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, with axial fans moving air across the heat sink without requiring external ducts. As a second-generation model, the power stage uses wide-bandgap semiconductors to reduce switching losses. The front face does not include a control panel, so configuration and monitoring are performed through a detachable HMI or a web-based engineering tool. A multi-encoder interface supports dual-loop feedback for applications that monitor both motor and load position.
Functional safety is provided by SafeMotion, which supports integrated STO, SS1, and other motion-based stop functions without external safety relays. Real-time cyclic data can also be exchanged over Sercos III when an application requires a deterministic ring topology. The housing provides IP20 protection with a 750 V DC link, offering finger protection while supporting the shared DC bus used in ctrlX drive cabinets. The enclosure must remain inside a cabinet that provides the required protection against moisture, dust, and accidental contact. The unit functions as an inverter, converting DC-bus power into regulated three-phase output for the connected motor. Its motor connector set is ordered separately so that the selected mating components can match the cable diameter and electromagnetic compatibility requirements of the installation. Diagnostic and parameter functions are available through the integrated control section and supported software interfaces.
