Product Description:
The XMS2-W0100ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S04RSN1NNNN0NN is a power section module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. This single-axis inverter regulates the speed and torque of synchronous or induction motors in distributed automation systems. It converts DC-link voltage from a shared supply into a modulated three-phase output for precise motor control. Its compact format supports installation in packaging, material-handling, and assembly equipment where several coordinated motion axes share a common power source.
Its architecture uses a single-axis power channel, allowing one motor to be driven by each power module without axis-splitting hardware. Network integration is handled through the Multi-Ethernet interface, which allows the required real-time fieldbus to be selected during system setup instead of restricting the module to one protocol. The activated Sercos III profile supports deterministic communication cycles for demanding servo applications. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, which draws cabinet air across the heat sink without requiring external ducting. As a second-generation ctrlX device, the module uses updated power electronics while retaining compatibility with established engineering tools. The power section is supplied without a control panel, and the available option slots are not equipped because operator functions can be provided through a centralized human-machine interface.
The integrated Safe Torque Off circuit disables gate signals to the insulated-gate bipolar transistors, supporting PL e or SIL 3 stop functions without external safety relays. Because the module operates as an inverter, it receives power from a common DC-link supply and produces the controlled three-phase output required by the connected motor. Its IP20 enclosure supports DC 750 V operation, protecting against finger contact with live parts while requiring installation in a clean, dry cabinet. Command processing and feedback functions reside in the mating ctrlX DRIVE control section, which connects directly to the power base. The wiring kit does not include a motor connector set, allowing the plug type and cable length to be selected for the application. The module is also supplied without an auxiliary fan or an integrated brake resistor, so any required braking equipment must be provided elsewhere in the drive system.
