It forms the power stage of a motion axis within the ctrlX DRIVE environment, converting DC-bus power into a controlled three-phase output for synchronous or asynchronous motors. In industrial automation cells, the device supplies precise motor current for dynamic positioning tasks in pick-and-place units, packaging lines, and compact robotic stations. Its mechanical format supports installation alongside other ctrlX DRIVE components in coordinated multi-axis systems while maintaining an organized cabinet layout.
The drive is configured for single-axis operation, so one motor phase set is controlled by each housing. Because IP20 protection does not prevent water or fine dust intrusion, the module must be installed inside a suitable control cabinet. The unit is supplied without a control panel or motor connector set, so these components must be selected separately when required by the application.
