Product Description:
The XMS2-W0070ANN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. As part of the second-generation ctrlX DRIVE platform, it combines a DC-link input stage, integrated networking, and a front-mounted control panel in one unit. The module provides decentralized servo control from an IP20 enclosure and is intended for installation in protected control cabinets. It can operate compatible synchronous or induction motors in automated production machinery where accurate torque, speed, and position control are required.
During continuous operation at a switching frequency of 4 kHz, the power section supplies 35 A to the motor terminals. The input stage operates from a DC 750 V bus and has a capacitance to ground of 2 × 100 nF, which helps limit common-mode noise. Thermal management uses internal air cooling, eliminating the need for a liquid-cooling circuit. Communication with the controller is handled through Multi-Ethernet hardware that supports EtherCAT with Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT telegrams for real-time setpoint exchange. The integrated Safe Torque Off channel removes gate-drive power while allowing the control logic to remain energized. The control circuit draws a maximum of 120 W, and the insulation resistance is 1 MΩ. These electrical characteristics support operation within the drive platform without requiring a separate communication adapter or external safety contactor for the torque-off function.
The housing measures 75 mm wide and 196.5 mm deep, with a height of 309 mm. Its mass of 4.25 kg supports secure mounting inside a control cabinet without placing excessive load on the mounting surface. A peak output current of 70 A provides additional current for brief acceleration demands beyond the continuous output level. The control electronics operate from a 24 V auxiliary supply shared with other low-voltage machine controls. No motor connector set is included, allowing cabling to be selected for the motor and installation requirements. The compact housing dimensions leave room for adjacent drive modules, cable routing, and the ventilation clearances required for internal airflow.
