Product Description:
The XMS2-W0210ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S06RSN1NNNN0NN drive module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 series. It regulates motor current to control automated machinery that requires accurate movement under changing speed and load conditions. The unit supports torque, velocity, and position control for compatible synchronous or induction motors. Its control section is built without a control panel, so setup and operating data are accessed through remote engineering tools. The module connects to matching supply units over a shared DC bus, allowing multiple drive components to use a common power source within the cabinet.
The module uses a single-axis configuration with one motor channel, which keeps motor control and parameter mapping focused on an individual axis. A built-in Multi-Ethernet interface supports communication through several compatible industrial Ethernet protocols. Deterministic motion telegrams are exchanged through Sercos III, allowing synchronized communication with a higher-level motion controller. Thermal management uses internal air cooling, with an integrated fan circulating enclosure air across the heat sink to remove operating heat. Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off, which disables the power stage’s gate signals and prevents the motor from producing torque. The drive is supplied without a motor connector set, so motor cabling can be attached after a compatible connector set is installed.
The enclosure provides IP20 protection, which guards against contact with hazardous internal parts but does not protect the module from water. Installation inside a protected electrical cabinet is therefore required. The power section connects to a 750 V DC link supplied by a compatible source module. As a second-generation release, the drive supports higher switching frequencies and expanded diagnostic functions compared with earlier models. In inverter mode, the power stage converts DC-link energy into a controlled three-phase output for the connected motor. The module belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE product group, and its parameters are managed through a browser-based engineering environment.
