Product Description:
The XMS2-C0054ANN-01NETT0ECNN-S04RSN3NNNN0NN drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. The module functions as an inverter power stage for one motor axis, converting power from a shared DC link into a variable three-phase output for precise speed and torque control. It is designed for installation in machine cabinets that require networked motion, compact equipment, and direct integration with the ctrlX automation platform.
As a single-axis device, the inverter dedicates its full current capacity to one motor, which simplifies load calculations and power allocation. Network traffic is managed through a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports several industrial Ethernet protocols. When EtherCAT wiring is selected, the module exchanges cyclic data through the EtherCAT (CoE) profile. Heat is transferred through a cold-plate cooling surface, allowing thermal energy to move into an external cooling structure without circulating additional air through the cabinet. The housing has an IP20 rating and uses insulation distances suitable for operation with a 750 V DC link. The drive is supplied without a control panel, so configuration and operating adjustments are performed through software. Its integrated ctrlX DRIVE control section processes motion commands without requiring a separate controller for the axis. The unit is also supplied without a motor connector set, and its auxiliary hardware slots remain unequipped.
This model belongs to the second-generation platform within the ctrlX DRIVE product group and supports faster control sampling cycles. A multi-encoder interface accepts compatible motor feedback signals without requiring an additional interface module. Functional safety is provided through Safe Torque Off, which disables torque-producing energy to the motor windings through certified electronic logic rather than mechanical contactors. The drive operates as an inverter, generating programmable pulse-width modulation patterns from the common DC bus to regulate motor current. It does not include a dedicated braking chopper, power-boost module, or panel buttons. The cold-plate arrangement also maintains a compact cabinet profile and leaves mounting space for adjacent ctrlX I/O modules or safety relays.
