Product Description:
The XMS2-W0023ANN-02AETT0ECEC-S05RSN3NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX DRIVE series. In an automated machine, it conditions DC-bus energy and delivers controlled AC power to a motor while exchanging motion commands and feedback through the Multi-Ethernet backplane. The unit belongs to the second generation of ctrlX hardware and works with other ctrlX DRIVE components in compact, scalable motion-control systems.
The drive communicates with higher-level controllers through Multi-Ethernet and supports the EtherCAT over EtherCAT profile for deterministic data updates. At a switching frequency of 4 kHz, it can supply a continuous motor phase current of 7.7 A and tolerate short-term peaks of up to 23 A. Its internal DC link has a nominal voltage of 750 V, a connection capability of 120 A, and a switch-off threshold of 900 V to protect connected equipment. The logic electronics receive power through a galvanically isolated 24 V input. The inrush limiter restricts the charging surge to 4 A for 20 ms with an input capacitance of 1.7 mF. The control section uses the ctrlX DRIVE plus variant and draws 79 W during operation. Internal air cooling directs heat through the finned heat sink without requiring external ducting. A multi-encoder interface supports several feedback systems, while the Safe Torque Off function removes torque-producing power when activated.
The aluminum housing is only 50 mm wide, 309 mm high, and 196.5 mm deep, allowing dense side-by-side mounting. The module has a shipping mass of 2.8 kg, which reduces the load placed on cabinet supports during installation. Its IP20 enclosure keeps energized parts recessed, but the device must still be installed inside a control cabinet. A front-mounted control panel provides local access to parameter settings and operating information. The module does not include a motor connector set, allowing field-wired plugs to be selected for the required motor and cable arrangement.
