The XMS2-W0036ANN-02NETT0NNDA-SVSRSN2NNNN0NN is an inverter module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. The device forms the motor-side portion of a drive stack, taking DC power from a shared supply and generating variable-frequency output for synchronous or asynchronous motors. It provides closed-loop speed and torque control that keeps conveyors, gantry axes, and processing spindles synchronized with PLC commands. This arrangement allows several drive modules to draw energy from a common DC bus while controlling their connected motors independently.
The drive accepts command and feedback traffic through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing one communication board to support EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other industrial networks without separate option cards. For real-time motion loops, it provides a dedicated EtherCAT (SoE) channel that reduces cycle jitter and supports deterministic data exchange. The power section is designed for a single-axis topology, allowing the module to control one motor from the shared drive stack. Heat from the IGBT stack is removed by internal air cooling, eliminating the need for an external fan unit. The module operates at 750 V DC, and its live parts sit behind an IP20 enclosure that helps prevent accidental finger contact. The unit is supplied without a control panel, so front-mounted operating keys are not included. Commands, diagnostics, and operating values are instead exchanged through the control network or compatible system software.
The installed control board belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE plus platform, providing processing capacity for motion calculations and onboard technology functions. Functional safety is provided through Safe Torque Off, which removes gate signals from the power devices without disconnecting field power. This function prevents the motor from producing torque and permits a rapid return to operation after the safety circuit is reset. The control feature set is Second Generation, aligning its parameters and functions with the broader ctrlX DRIVE product group. When more machine signals are required, a plug-in digital and analog I/O extension can add input and output channels. The supplied configuration does not include a motor connector set. A compatible screw-terminal or quick-lock connector kit must therefore be selected for the motor cable system used by the application.
