Product Description:
The XMS2-W0070ANN-01AETT0ECNN-S06RSN5NNNN0NN is an inverter drive module built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, it converts the common DC-bus supply of a ctrlX DRIVE system into variable AC output for one servo or induction motor in automated machinery. By combining power electronics with an integrated control section, the device executes velocity or torque loops and exchanges motion commands with higher-level controllers through industrial Ethernet networks. Its compact housing supports installation in space-constrained production lines and automated equipment.
The drive is arranged as a single-axis unit, so its power section is dedicated to one mechanical axis and provides a straightforward control arrangement. Network connectivity is provided by a Multi-Ethernet interface that automatically detects protocols such as EtherNet/IP, allowing controllers to exchange cyclic data without gateways. The module is supplied with a control panel for local parameter entry, status monitoring, and fault reset. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, with an integrated fan moving cabinet air across the heat sink without external ducting. During operation, the device functions as an inverter by forming variable-frequency AC output from the 750 V DC link of the ctrlX DRIVE bus.
The unit uses the second-generation platform and shares its diagnostic architecture with newer ctrlX components. A dedicated multi-encoder interface processes resolver, EnDat, or BiSS feedback without requiring additional interface cards. Functional safety is provided by an embedded Safe Torque Off circuit, which removes gate signals from the insulated-gate bipolar transistors when a safe stop is requested. The housing has an IP20 rating, protecting against finger contact with live internal parts when the module is installed inside a closed electrical cabinet. A motor connector set is not included, so compatible external cables must be selected for the connected motor and feedback system.
