The SERVOSTAR CD series is a high-performance digital servo drive family that supports current, velocity, and position control using fully digital servo loops and sinusoidal commutation for smooth, precise motion.
It accommodates multiple motor feedback types—including incremental encoders, resolvers, sine encoders, and halls-only operation—and can also accept auxiliary encoder feedback for dual-loop or master/slave applications. Command and control options range from analog ±10 V operation to serial communications, pulse-train/encoder-following modes, and SERCOS-based control for deterministic networked motion. Drives are offered in compact cabinet-friendly packages with current ratings in the low-to-mid amp range, single- or three-phase power options, an optional separate 24 VDC logic supply, and configurable I/O for enables, limits, and status/monitoring. Commissioning is designed around PC-based setup and auto-tuning tools that simplify motor selection, parameter backup/restore, and troubleshooting while the power stage includes built-in protection functions such as over-voltage/under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, feedback loss, and current foldback.
