Product Description:
The LE06260 is a compact controller design that is particularly suited for use in environments with relatively limited installation spaces. This unit is one of the many products designed by Kollmorgen automation. It is compatible with a wide range of motor series and requires little to no maintenance through its service. The housing of this controller is coated to prevent deterioration even after exposure to substances that will otherwise accelerate this process. The housing design of this unit is able to prevent interference of large solids as defined for IP20 products. Customers can communicate with the LE06260 through the serial port present on its front panel. The data transmission rate at this port can reach a baud rate of 9600. If multiple units are connected together, data can be sent to all the connected units simultaneously.
The LE06260 has its own configuration software which is known as MOTIONLINK. This software provides customers with a sophisticated interface through which the drive can be easily set up and controlled. For the software to be used, it has to be installed on an IBM PC or any other computer that features a Windows 95 operating system, a standard video adapter, a serial port, and 512 kilobytes memory. The MOTIONLINK software is available on a CD-ROM for installation; it can also be directly downloaded from the internet. If the drive has not been properly configured, the display unit will show “-“ and prompt the user to enter the drive, motor, and other application specific parameters. The status display on this unit is a seven-segment indicator.
