The CE03561 servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen as part of the CD Servostar CD Drives series. Classified within the Compact Drive product family, this unit supplies controlled three-phase power to brushless motors so that speed, torque, and position loops in automated machinery remain consistent with commanded profiles. By accepting a separate 24 V logic supply, the drive keeps its control electronics active during safety events, allowing devices on a SERCOS network to maintain communication even when the main bus voltage is removed. This helps the controller retain diagnostics and status reporting during controlled shutdowns.
Its DC link operates at a nominal bus voltage of 325 VDC, a level chosen to match rectified 230 V mains while leaving headroom for regenerative energy. The continuous output stage supports a rated current of 3 A, making the drive suitable for low-to-mid power axes in packaging or electronics assembly. Pulse-width modulation occurs at 16 kHz, and the high carrier frequency improves current resolution while lowering audible noise in the connected motor.
