The CR06550 is a sophisticated industrial motor drive produced by Kollomorgen to accurately control the acceleration, speed, and general operation of synchronous and industrial motors used in the industrial servo system. The CR series industrial motor drive has been in existence since 1997; however, this particular motor is an upgrade over the first model release as it contains some additional features and characteristics such as the analog communication module, Sine encoder, software resolver, extended input-output interface, encoder stimulation, and sine encoder calibration. These unique machine feature helps the motor drive controller to be compatible with a broad range of industrial machines such as food processing machines, metal forming machines, hoisting machines, and lots more.
The CR06550 servo motor drive also features a housing unit that meets the IP20 protection class; this housing does not offer the optimum controller protection as liquid, and small solid substances can still penetrate into the drive housing; thus, it is important for the industrial operator to ensure the controller is installed in an external housing unit that meets at least the IP54 protection class.
The CR06550 industrial motor drive requires a rated current of 6 Amperes for optimum operation; it also operates with a nominal input voltage that falls between 110 to about 230 volts. The efficiency of this industrial motor drive is about 95 percent; this servo drive can maintain this efficient high level for more than seven years without experiencing any machine brake down.
