The CE06200-2C1105A1 is a Compact Drive servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen within the Servostar CD Drives series. Designed to operate linear iron-core motors, the unit converts a 230 VAC mains supply with a 325 VDC bus into finely regulated three-phase output power for industrial positioning stages. The drive supports incremental and absolute encoders and provides a regulated 5 VDC sensor supply, allowing it to perform closed-loop motion control without external signal-conversion hardware. Commands from a PLC are processed by the amplifier and translated into controlled motor torque, speed, and position.
The current regulator has a bandwidth of 2.5 kHz and refreshes every 62.5 µs, so torque commands are translated into phase currents with minimal delay. For speed control, the velocity loop maintains a bandwidth of 400 Hz and updates every 250 µs, providing the response needed for linear axes that reverse frequently. Position correction is recalculated every 500 µs to maintain accurate movement during rapid changes in the commanded profile. A peak-torque window of 0.5 seconds permits brief overloads without causing an immediate trip. Internal commutation tables track rotor position at electrical frequencies up to 400 Hz, and the controller can supply as much as 250 mA to connected feedback devices.
The analog command interface has a 14-bit resolution, permitting fine torque or velocity scaling while limiting quantization effects in the command signal. The differential encoder input accepts signal frequencies as high as 3 MHz before quadrature multiplication. It can process up to 10,000,000 counts per mechanical cycle, supporting precise position measurement and repeatable stage movement. Continuous phase output is limited to 6 A, which matches the thermal capacity of the Compact Drive chassis. The amplifier is suitable for force and motion control in pick-and-place gantries, test tables, semiconductor tooling, and other machinery that uses frequently reversing linear axes.
