The PRD-B040EAIB-C2 is an air-cooled controller built to monitor and control the operation of synchronous motors to ensure a reliable supply of kinetic energy in industrial servo systems. The controller is built by well-trained personnel from Kollmorgen automation; it is also intended to be used with motors designed by the same manufacturer. Unlike a conventional motion control device, this unit is built with an internal air blower and a heatsink. The enclosure of this motor provides reliable protection from large solids with an external diameter larger than 12 millimeters. However, this controller should still be installed inside a control cabinet that is able to provide the unit with additional protection against dust and water splashes. There are no power supply or feedback cables delivered with this unit; however, these accessories can be easily ordered by operators who require them.
The PRD-B040EAIB-C2 is designed to be integrated and used as part of industrial electrical plants or machines. Independent operation of this product is not permissible. To configure the operation of this controller, the MOTIONLINK software is absolutely crucial; this software provides operators with greater control over the general operation of this product. Customers are provided with a page for error handling, motor configuration, and operation monitoring.
