Kollmorgen’s CE06550 is a servo drive from the CD Servostar CD Drives series. As part of the Compact Drive family, it regulates brushless servo motors by converting DC-bus power into controlled three-phase motor output. The unit mounts inside control cabinets and is intended for precise speed and position control on pick-and-place axes, feeders, light gantries, and other high-cycle machinery. Its compact format suits automation systems where repeatable motion and stable response are required across frequent start, stop, and indexing sequences.
Command references reach the drive through an Analog interface, and encoder feedback is used for closed-loop motor control. The power stage operates from a 325 VDC link that switches at 8 kHz to create three-phase output for the connected motor. Under rated conditions, the inverter supplies 2.2 kW to the motor while drawing about 2.8 kW from a single-phase mains source and delivering 6 A of continuous current. A separate auxiliary supply keeps the logic section active during DC-bus disturbances, which helps preserve stored settings and diagnostic status.
