The LE06565 is a single-axis servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen for the Servostar CD Drives series. Designed for industrial automation, it conditions the DC bus supply and delivers controlled three-phase power to a feedback-equipped motor, allowing precise positioning, speed regulation, and torque control in automated assembly lines, printing machines, and material-handling equipment. By integrating with the broader motion system, the drive functions as the intermediary between high-level motion commands and the electromechanical load.
Command data reach the drive across the SynqNet deterministic network, so position updates propagate with submillisecond latency. Internally, a 300 V power stage switches at a pulse-width modulation frequency of 8 kHz. The resulting motor current has a ripple component centered on 16 kHz, keeping audible noise low while maintaining magnetic linearity. Continuous phase current is limited to 6 A, and a short-term overload of 12 A RMS for two seconds supports acceleration bursts without saturating the bus capacitors. Rotor position is returned through an encoder interface, enabling digital current loops to track motion precisely.
