The PRD-B040ASIC-32 is a high-performance and high-accuracy control device designed by Kollmorgen. The servo drive has been designed to function as a multi-purpose device, and it delivers excellent results when used with a wide range of industrial servo motor series and their corresponding drive controllers. The design of the PRD-B040ASIC-32 servo motor is intended to minimize cabinet space and ensure the easy integration of the drive into environments with limited spacing. The drive also features a very intuitive setup process that makes it easy to use and guarantees optimum operation performance. Feedback systems compatible with this servo drive include resolver, incremental encoder, Since encoder, or Auxiliary encoder feedback. The drive also supports commutation initialization without motion.
The PRD-B040ASIC-32 servo drive features up to six digital inputs, one digital output, one analogue output and one analogue input. These input and output interfaces make the communication between the drive and other parts of the servo system particularly seamless. The power stage of the PRD-B040ASIC-32 is self-protecting, providing the product with improved protection. There are up to 16 step motion buffers for indexing or positioning applications. There is an optional <<24 volts logic input supply, which is separate from the mains supply.
