The LE03555 is a servo drive built as an integral part of industrial automation systems and machine tools. The drive controller adjusts servo motor velocity, position, and torque output according to configuration instructions. Servo applications considered compatible with this product include machine tooling, packaging, electronic assembly and textile machines. This controller unit has a multifaced design that makes it compatible with most Kollmorgen’s wide motor design range, and the feedback unit they feature. Compared to conventional design series, this product has a relatively small frame size that is perfect for customers with minimal cabinet space. The control capability of this unit includes velocity control, position control, and current control. The LE03555 provides linear and rotary motor control with automatic unit conversion; it also features a thermal protection property that is adaptable to any connected motor.
The LE03555 operates with an Autoconfigure feature that automatically configures the power and feedback cable to the connected motor; this feature will also check and warn for any incorrect wiring of these cables. The configuration of the LE03555 can be done on the Motion Link software environment. This software is equipped with an extensive database of many of Kollmorgen’s motor series, and it is also equipped with a status screen that indicates system operation and fault/error checking.
The LE03555 is designed to efficiently handle errors and dissipate excess heat that can cause damage. There is a fan present inside this unit; it is also equipped with a reliable heatsink. Operation temperature for the LE03555 should be between 5 to 45 degrees, operation environment should also be free of corrosive gases or dust. The vibration level of this product is about 0.3 grams.
