The LR20565 servo drive belonging to the CD Servo star CD Drives series from Kollmorgen. The drive is configured to ensure optimum operation of servo motors according to machine requirements. It also carries out a reliable monitoring operation. The front panel of this product features several connection interfaces through which the unit communicates to peripheral devices, there is also a single-digit LED for status monitoring. The LR20565 features a three-phase input interface through which it receives a voltage supply of 230 volts delivered at a frequency of 50 to 60 hertz. The input current supply of the LR20565 is estimated to be about 20 amperes per phase while the power supply is about 8 kilowatts. The power output of this product is also about 4.5 kilowatts.
The LR20565 servo motor is equipped with a heatsink, which is responsible for passive cooling via natural convection. There is also an internal air blower that dissipates excess heat from the controller enclosure through forced ventilation. The proper installation condition for this unit should be indoors and inside a control cabinet. Errors encountered by this unit during operation are communicated through special error codes, which can be communicated to the host through the serial interface or transmitted to the LED display on the unit. The error is saved in an error history log to provide operators with more information during troubleshooting.
The LR20565 operates with a firmware which generally contains instructions concerning the operation of this unit. The firmware is often upgraded from time to time with new features from the manufacturer. Operators are required to download the new firmware through the serial port directly from a host computer. The firmware version used with this product should be at Version 0.1.3 or higher.
