Product Description:
The PRD-0050500G-06 is a high-performing and energy-efficient servo drive controller from Kollmorgen automation. This unit is an IP20 device that is able to undergo continuous operation without interference from large foreign solids. The design of this unit also allows for easy installation in areas with limited space. The front panel of this product features several connection interfaces and a seven-segment indicator which indicates the operation state of the product. In total, the PRD-0050500G-06 can exist in one of four operation states, these include the power-up, steady state, flashing state and the momentary fault state.
This unit also has the ability to assume different operation modes. As a standard, it is configured as an analogue velocity controller; however, this can be reconfigured by operators depending on the industrial requirement. Another possible configuration mode for this unit includes the serial velocity controller, serial torque controller, analog torque controller, gearing position controller, and position controller. The software interface designed for the PRD-0050500G-06 is the MOTIONLINK software. This software package is intended to be installed on a compatible PC unit. It can be accessed on a CD-ROM disk or downloaded directly from the internet on the Danaher motion website.
Although the design of the PRD-0050500G-06 product ensures that it rarely encounters errors, when these errors occur, it communicates appropriate error codes to the host through the serial port. Some error codes are also communicated to the status display on the front panel of the unit. To make the diagnosis operation easy, the error message is saved in the EEPROM under an error history log. These errors remain saved even after a power loss. The response of the drive to an error encountered generally depends on the severity of the error. Some errors only trigger warning codes while others lead to the automatic shutdown of the unit.
