The CR03261-000000 is a compact digital servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the Servostar CD Drives series. It belongs to the Compact Drive product family and functions as the current regulator and motion controller for a matched servomotor. By combining power electronics with signal processing, the unit manages the torque, speed, and position loops required in automated assembly cells, conveyors, and pick-and-place stations.
Control commands enter through an analog channel that accepts ±10 V, accommodating standard speed or torque references from a PLC. This signal passes through a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter, providing 16,384 discrete levels for precise scaling. Where fieldbus integration is preferred, the integrated SERCOS interface exchanges cyclic data over fiber through an F-SMA port. Two digital outputs can each source up to 60 mA, supporting indicator LEDs or small pilot relays. Motor phase power is delivered at a continuous rated current of 3 A, matching moderate-frame synchronous motors used in light material-handling applications. Resolver feedback is supported, and the internal electronics convert the sine-cosine signals into position and velocity values for the drive processor.
The fault relay is rated for 1 A at 24 VDC, allowing it to connect directly to a compatible monitoring or interlock circuit without additional amplification. Mechanical precision is supported by a resolver accuracy of 19 arcminutes, enabling repeatable positioning in indexing tables. The resolver excitation winding operates at 4.25 VAC, while the electronics limit the drive current to 55 mA AC RMS and monitor coil resistance up to 120 Ω to detect transducer faults. The housing has a width of only 67.3 mm, conserving cabinet space in high-density multi-axis installations.
