Internal Product Review
The LE03565-KLM is a Kollmorgen Servostar CD drive built for linear ironless motor applications, with encoder feedback supporting precise motion control. A 325 VDC bus voltage and 03 Amp rated current give the unit a solid operating profile for controlled servo performance. A 16 kHz PWM frequency is a strong highlight for smooth drive response.

Product Description:
The LE03565-KLM is a digital servo drive designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen for the Servostar CD Drives series. Intended for linear ironless motor stages, the unit converts power from a regulated DC bus into phase-controlled output currents while decoding encoder feedback for closed-loop motion tasks. It serves as the power bridge between a motion controller and precision axes found in pick-and-place machines, gantries, and semiconductor handling stations.
Incoming power is maintained on a DC link at 325 VDC, the level at which the internal capacitors and switches are rated. These switches operate with a carrier, or PWM, frequency of 16 kHz, allowing the current to be adjusted in fine increments without excessive switching loss. The drive can supply 3 A continuously, and the heat produced under this load is routed through thermal pathways that dissipate 60 W into the surrounding air. If regenerated energy elevates the bus voltage, an overvoltage threshold of 430 VDC triggers an automatic shutdown. A separate undervoltage monitor disconnects the output stage if the supply falls below 90 VDC. These voltage limits establish the permitted electrical operating range for the Servostar controller.
A current ripple component at 32 kHz is present on the DC link, and this frequency can be used when selecting external filters. The Form C fault relay carries up to 1 A, enabling direct connection to machine-ready fault circuits. Temperature monitoring opens the fault channel when the heat sink reaches 80 °C, protecting solder joints and semiconductors from excessive heat. During aggressive deceleration, the built-in shunt absorbs up to 200 W through an internal 20 Ω resistor and 0.00082 F of capacitance, keeping the DC link below the overvoltage trip level. The logic supply is generated internally, and native encoder feedback support simplifies closed-loop position and velocity control. The housing weighs 1.61 kg, allowing the drive to fit compact panel installations without adding substantial enclosure mass.
