The PRD-B040ASIB-32 is an advanced motion control device manufactured by Kollmorgen through a combination of its past experiences and reliable new-generation technology. This servo drive is built to provide a long lasting solution to current, voltage, and position control for servo motors. It has a compact housing unit designed to ensure efficient heat dissipation through a natural convection and thermal radiation, there is also an air blower integrated into its housing to aid the heat regulation process. Industrial applications where this servo drive is relevant includes packaging machines, electronica assembly applications, and machine tooling. This product also boasts of a housing design that easily fits into areas with limited spacing.
The PRD-B040ASIB-32 contains a wide range of features that makes it one of the most robust control devices on the market. For current control, it features a digital current loop control, PWN sine wave commutation, and an adaptive current loop gain. The drive is also equipped with a back EMF compensator. The PRD-B040ASIB-32 features velocity stepping and jogging capability, it can also carry out automatic control loop tuning through its Auto tune feature. This drive operates with several advanced control algorithms which include standard pole placement, proportional-integral, and pseudo-derivative w/feed forward.
