Product Description:
The PRD-00500000-06 drive is designed for the purpose of delivering first-class feedback and signal processing to support aggressive control. The drive provides an input voltage of 4.25 VAC to the drive and delivers an output voltage of 2 VAC. The highest resolver drive current is capped at 55 mA AC-RMS to supply the resolver efficient and safe operation. Power stage capability can support 3, 6, or 10 amps continuously for universal use on a variety of motor sizes.
PWM switching frequency is up to 16 kHz for highest smoothness and lowest ripple. Analog inputs are offered with 12-bit resolution, and further accuracy is offered by 14-bit dual gain capability. Digital monitoring outputs include an 8-bit programmable ±10V analog output, used for system diagnostics and output testing. The motor can optionally be powered from a 24 VDC logic supply and offers discrete power for control circuits and for enhanced stability. The control loops are sampled aggressively to give high accuracy performance—16 kHz in the current loop and 4 kHz in the velocity loop—to allow high precision and fast response torque and speed control. It is applicable to high-performance applications where stiff control dynamics are needed. This model is intended to give high-fidelity signal processing along with high integrity protection. Applicable to responsiveness and accuracy feedback applications, the PRD-00500000-06 unit offers fine synchronization of output response and input commands.
The flexibility in power stage support, sampling rate capability, and resolver handling flexibility make it suitable for servo control systems.
