The CR06660-JW is a Kollmorgen product that is able to provide impressively reliable position, velocity, and current control. As part of its current control, the unit is equipped with a system current-limiting capability, a Back EMF compensator and a PWM sine wave commutation that guarantees an incredibly smooth motor motion. The bandwidth of the velocity control of this product can be as high as 400 hertz. Operators also enjoy “On the fly” Homing capability when the unit is in the analogue Velocity control mode. Installation of this unit inside a control cabinet is also necessary to ensure optimum protection against harsh conditions. The controller also monitors and protects connected motors from overheating.
