The CE03200 servo amplifier is produced by Kollmorgen within the CD Servostar CD Drives series. It controls brushless servomotors for industrial automation by closing current, velocity, and position loops that rely on direct encoder feedback. A remote-enable input accepts 12 V to 24 VDC, allowing external controllers to disable the power stage without disconnecting line power. This input supports controlled shutdowns and quick restarts in densely populated control cabinets. The amplifier can therefore remain connected to its primary power source while an external control signal governs the output stage.
For motion commands, the drive uses an analog ±10 VDC interface, with an accepted range of -10 V to +10 V for the torque or velocity reference. That signal is digitized every 62.5 µs, matching the current-loop update period, and the regulator maintains accuracy across a bandwidth of up to 2400 Hz. Continuous motor excitation is supported at 3 A, while transient demands can be met with a momentary ceiling of 9 A. These electrical limits allow the amplifier to respond rapidly to changing load conditions while remaining within its thermal and semiconductor limits. The analog command interface also provides a direct method for integrating the drive with compatible motion controllers and external command sources.

Feedback counts may reach 10,000,000 per cycle, preserving position resolution at high shaft speeds. The velocity loop refreshes every 250 µs, while the position loop refreshes every 500 µs, keeping commanded profiles synchronized with actual motion. Despite its processing capability, the enclosure weighs only 1.61 kg, making it suitable for lightweight machine frames and slide-out rack assemblies.
