Product Description:
The PRD-0040RNID-C2 is part of the CD drive unit designed by Kollmorgen to serve as an economic solution for industrial operators that require accurate current and velocity loop control in their servo systems. This product is designed primarily for current loop applications; however, it is also useful for the monitoring of connected servo motors. The design of this unit is compact and easy to integrate into various positions in the servo systems. The unit is also coated and relatively resistant to corrosion. Customers who fully configure this use can do it with a wide range of technologies, peripheral devices, and user tools. Although this unit is flexible in operation, it is particularly suited for use with specific motor solutions provided by Kollmorgen.
The PRD-0040RNID-C2 servo controller can be configured to meet specific application requirements using the MOTIONLINK software, which can be hosted on a Windows computer. The MOTIONLINK software environment features a status screen that indicates system operation and fault/error checking. There is also a feedback device screen that provides real-time pictorial positioning information for customers. There is an air blower integrated into the housing of this product. For the best performance of this air blower, sufficient clearance should be provided around this unit to allow for the smooth movement of cooling air around this product.
The PRD-0040RNID-C2 is equipped with several protective functions such as short-circuiting, over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-temperature protection. Its electronics are also fully isolated. The PRD-0040RNID-C2 is a three-phase device, each phase operates with an input current of 13 amperes and can supply a power output of approximately 3.5 kilovolts ampere. The voltage input of this unit is approximately 230 volts of alternating current.
