The CE06560 is a single-axis servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen within the CD Servostar CD Drives series. Designed to regulate torque and velocity of matched servo motors, the unit conditions DC bus power, processes command signals, and delivers pulse-width-modulated output to the motor phase lines. In industrial automation, it serves as the intermediary between a motion controller and the actuator, translating analog velocity or torque references into controlled current while also providing encoder feedback to the host control system.

The drive accepts an analog command, and its input stage tolerates up to a 13 V differential signal, preventing clipping when controllers with wider ranges are used. Once enabled, the power stage can source a continuous 6 A to the motor, with switching performed at 8 kHz for lower audible noise and reduced current ripple. Control electronics are isolated on a 24 VDC logic rail, so field wiring faults do not propagate to the controller. Continuous switching losses amount to 80 W, so cabinet airflow must accommodate that heat load. A form-C relay rated 1 A at 24 VDC reports any fault to external interlocks, and the enclosure measures 256.0 mm tall, 83.3 mm wide, and 163.0 mm deep.
