The DKR Drive Controllers from Bosch Rexroth Indramat comprise a series of digital intelligent drive controllers designed to control and monitor high-power motion axes such as 2AD/ADF AC main spindle motors, 1MB frameless spindle motors, and LSF/LAF linear motors.
They are built for direct connection to grounded 3-phase AC mains (400–480 VAC) and include an integrated mains contactor and an emergency-stop shutdown device, with regenerated braking energy returned to the mains even during an E-stop. The platform is optimized for applications that demand broad speed range with constant power, with typical use in NC-controlled machine tools and printing machines, and it covers roughly 10 to 93 kW of continuous motor output depending on configuration. Cooling is integrated into the housing via heatsink and blower and supports multiple cabinet-planning variants, including air from inside the cabinet, air from outside the cabinet, or duct cooling to route airflow as needed. Configuration is modular through plug-in slots and a firmware/software module that stores operating software and drive parameters, and braking options include integrated brake resistors on certain DKR02/DKR03 variants or an external brake resistor option for DKR04 to allow controlled deceleration even if the mains fails.
