The DKR02.1-W200N-B is a digital intelligent AC drive controller designed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKR Drive Controllers series. Within multi-axis machining centers and large handling systems, this controller processes position feedback and modulates power to synchronous or induction motors, allowing coordinated motion sequences. It is version 1 in line series 02 and has a nominal current rating of 200. Resolver or digital servo feedback from the motor is accepted directly, giving the unit the closed-loop data needed for precise torque regulation and stable axis control during demanding industrial motion tasks. This allows the controller to respond quickly to load changes and maintain repeatable motor behavior across coordinated axes.
The drive draws its main power from a three-phase AC 400–480 V supply, while the internal electronics run on a separate AC 230 V control circuit, and both tolerate a variation of ±10%. At a 4 kHz switching frequency, the power section can deliver 120 A of continuous output current, which corresponds to about 47 kW of shaft power for connected motors. Excess heat from the IGBTs and bus capacitors is removed through a built-in blower, so forced air keeps internal temperatures under control without requiring external liquid cooling hardware.
During rapid acceleration, the current rises momentarily to a peak of 141 A, giving the drive extra torque capacity for short demand spikes. The power electronics dissipate up to 1600 W as heat, so the cabinet must provide enough airflow and clearance around the unit. Mechanical mass is approximately 104 kg, which is important for mounting support and handling during installation. The unit has no brake chopper, so regenerated energy is returned to the rigid DC bus instead of being dissipated internally. Applications with frequent deceleration or high regenerative loads may therefore require external braking or line-regenerative equipment to control bus voltage.
