Product Description:
The DKR03.1-W100N-BE84-01-FW is an AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKR Drive Controllers series. It converts three-phase line power into regulated DC and issues precise current commands, enabling coordinated speed and torque control on gantries, presses, and machining centers. Mounted in a power cabinet, the unit links through fiber optics to a PLC and supplies the regulated DC bus for connected servo motors. This arrangement places power conversion and axis coordination in one cabinet-mounted unit for centralized machine control. It is suited for systems that need synchronized motion across several axes without placing the control hardware on the machine frame.
At a 4 kHz switching frequency, the drive supplies a continuous output of 71 A. That current supports roughly 26 kW of mechanical power for large servo motors. The power section connects to 400–480 V AC three-phase mains, while the electronics use a separate 230 V AC control line so status and diagnostic functions can remain active during main power isolation. Heat is removed by a built-in air blower that directs airflow across the IGBT heat sink. Motion commands arrive through the SERCOS interface, providing deterministic timing for synchronized multi-axis operation.
The drive dissipates up to 900 W, so cabinet ventilation must remove that heat during operation. Encoder compatibility is broad because the unit supports digital servo and resolver feedback, allowing either optical encoders or analog resolvers to close the loop. The unit weighs 49 kg, and its bolt pattern supports vertical mounting in the cabinet. It belongs to line series 03 hardware and is design version 1 with function module version 01. The rigid DC bus does not include a brake chopper, so regenerated energy must be handled by the surrounding DC link arrangement.
