The DKR02.1-W200B-BA03-01-FW is a digital intelligent AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKR Drive Controllers series. Acting as a power interface between the plant mains and servo or induction motors, it regulates torque and speed for automated machining centers, material-handling axes, and assembly equipment. Its analog command interface lets a supervising PLC issue voltage-based setpoints that the drive converts into controlled motor currents for closed-loop motion control. This arrangement supports smooth acceleration, stable running speed, and repeatable stopping behavior on automated axes. It can be used where the motor must respond accurately to changing load conditions and commanded speed changes during repeated machine cycles.
At a switching frequency of 4 kHz, the unit can supply a continuous output of 120 A, which corresponds to a sustained mechanical capability of 47 kW for demanding axes. Heat is removed by a built-in air blower, so no external liquid cooling is required. The control electronics run from a stabilized 230 V AC auxiliary supply, while the power section accepts 400–480 V AC three-phase mains, and both ranges tolerate ±10 % line fluctuation. During normal duty, the converter releases 1600 W of heat that must be removed by cabinet ventilation. The drive processes digital servo and resolver feedback, so it can work with high-resolution encoders or resolver transducers without additional interface cards.
The integrated brake resistor can dissipate 1.5 kW continuously and absorb up to 240 kWs of regenerative energy during deceleration. This helps the drive handle frequent rapid-stop cycles without external braking hardware. For short acceleration peaks, the inverter delivers 141 A, providing extra torque headroom above the continuous rating. Function module 03, version 01 handles the analog setpoints. The line series 02, design version 1 chassis has an approximate mass of 104 kg and contains the blower, brake resistor, and power electronics in one enclosure.
