The DKR02.1-W300Z-BE12-01-FW is a digital intelligent AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKR Drive Controllers series. As a high-power axis drive, it regulates large servo or spindle motors in machine tools and automation cells, converting three-phase mains energy into modulated output currents while exchanging real-time status data with upstream motion controllers. This type of controller is used where stable torque delivery and accurate speed regulation are required under changing loads. Communication with the motion controller is handled over a SERCOS interface, allowing synchronized data exchange in multi-axis systems.
On common plant distribution networks, the unit accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 400–480 V with a ±10% tolerance, so it can operate on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems. The wide input range supports installation in facilities that use different utility standards. Under continuous duty at a 4 kHz switching frequency, it can deliver 141 A of output current, which corresponds to roughly 55 kW of motor power in typical operation. For short acceleration peaks, the current can rise to 212 A, providing extra torque during indexing or spindle ramp-up. Thermal management relies on built-in blower cooling, which pushes air across the heat sink and exhausts it at the top of the cabinet. With this cooling method, the drive releases close to 1800 W of heat, so the enclosure ventilation system must remove that thermal load during operation.
