Product Description:
The DKR03.1 is a Digital Intelligent AC Drive Controller in the DKR Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It serves as the central power stage for closed-loop positioning axes by converting plant power into controlled three-phase output for servo and spindle motors used in packaging, metal-cutting, and material-handling equipment. Regenerative braking circuitry, field-oriented current control, and communication interfaces are integrated into the unit, helping it maintain precise speed and torque control during demanding industrial cycles. This layout supports repeatable motion on machines where acceleration, deceleration, and spindle speed must remain stable as load conditions change during continuous production.
The controller draws control power of 200 VA and accepts a control voltage of AC 230 V ±10%, which keeps the logic sections separate from the main bus. Its auxiliary brake dissipates 1 kW continuously, handles peak loads of 40 kW, and can absorb 150 kWs of energy during rapid deceleration. The internal IGBT bridge delivers output frequencies up to 1600 Hz at an 8 kHz carrier, which supports high-speed spindle operation and responsive motor control across a wide speed range. It operates from a three-phase 400 to 480 VAC supply with a ±10% tolerance, and the product is in line 03 with design version 1.
For cabinet installation, the unit requires at least 80 mm of clearance above and below so airflow is not restricted. The drive can operate at full power up to 45 °C, and derating is permitted up to 55 °C. Reliable service is maintained up to 1000 m elevation without additional cooling, and the housing has an IP20 rating for enclosed-panel mounting. The unit has a depth of 310 mm, a width of 390 mm, and a height of 690 mm, and the three-phase bus bars are arranged to match this footprint for straightforward cabinet layout and predictable routing inside the enclosure.
