The DKR03.1 is a Digital Intelligent AC Drive Controller in the DKR Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It serves as the central power stage for closed-loop positioning axes by converting plant power into controlled three-phase output for servo and spindle motors used in packaging, metal-cutting, and material-handling equipment. Regenerative braking circuitry, field-oriented current control, and communication interfaces are integrated into the unit, helping it maintain precise speed and torque control during demanding industrial cycles. This layout supports repeatable motion on machines where acceleration, deceleration, and spindle speed must remain stable as load conditions change during continuous production.

The controller draws control power of 200 VA and accepts a control voltage of AC 230 V ±10%, which keeps the logic sections separate from the main bus. Its auxiliary brake dissipates 1 kW continuously, handles peak loads of 40 kW, and can absorb 150 kWs of energy during rapid deceleration. Reliable service is maintained up to 1000 m elevation without additional cooling, and the housing has an IP20 rating for enclosed-panel mounting.
